Business travellers want tighter security for trains
Business travellers feel that airport-style security is a necessity for rail travel in the UK, a survey has found.
Anti-terrorist measures should be looked at more closely by rail companies and more money should be spent on this by train companies and Network Rail.
Even though it would mean more waiting time and longer queues, business travellers see this as an important measure to give them confidence whilst travelling on the UK rail network.
The security felt by business users at airports is quite high, whereas on the rail network, it is felt that its left pretty open to attack. More than 75% of business users think that the system should undergo an overhaul.
We feel that this is an understandable viewpoint. After all, if your most precious business people are travelling via the train network in the UK, they should be, ad your company should be, sure that it is a safe place to use.
